What happend today in history? Well there are definitely many things I could say but here are the five I chose to write about.
Many Catholic countries switch to Gregorian calendar, skip 10 days -1582
Don Ritchie runs world record 100 mile (11:30:51) -1977
Bridge over Yarra River in Melbourne crashes; killing 35 -1970
Baseball Attendance hits record 10.28 million (Tigers 1.28 is highest) -1945
Child labor law takes 12 year olds out of work force -1874

I chose the one about Catholic countries, because I am Catholic and think it is important. I chose the one about Don Ritchie because i think that is just amazing! I chose the one about the Yarra River Bridge because i think it is so sad that a bridge killed 35 people so meny people lost loved ones that day. I chose the baseball attendice record once because I love to watch baseball! I lastly chose the child labor law because that saves so meny people for being forced to work and do things well they are so young they have there hole life infront of them to have to work at a young age.
